If you follow me on Instagram, stories in particular you'll know I've just purchased a new camera! For the past few years I've been using the Olympus Pen E-Pl7 and the newer version the Olympus Pen E-Pl8 with a range of lenses (75mm 1.8, 50mm 1.8 and the pancake lens) for pretty much everything-Instagram blog photos etc. The camera really has served it's purpose, and I've definitly got my money's worth.
Since the start of 2017 I've been switching it up, shooting with photographers and really playing around with how I want my images to look.. and on Monday I impulsingly look the plunge and bought a Canon 5d! I've really missed shooting my own content and posting regularly. Shooting with a photographer is amazing-theres no worry about editing your images, being dissapointed that they're out of focus-we've all been there! I'd totally recommend using a photographer, but when I shoot I love to see my images there and then and be able to edit and post them on my blog straight away. I'm hoping now I've upped my camera game I'll be able to start posting reguarly again (once I figure out how to use it..)
This look was shot on the Canon 5d mark ii with the 50mm 1.4 lens. If you have any tips on using the 5d please do let me know in the comments below. ISO, F stops etc, the more help the merrier! x
