With Thanksgiving around the corner, you may be the one hosting, and that means not only coming up with the entire menu, but also the entire task of decorating the table! I always love to decorate the table festively, using leftover elements from both Halloween and the upcoming Christmas holidays.
This DIY golden Thanksgiving tablescape is one of my favorites for this holiday. The golden accents elevate the table and really tie it together with the gold hues and neutral tones, while the pops of color come from the vibrant food (think rich red cranberry sauce, dark green brussel sprouts, and bright orange sweet potato.)
This tablescape is pretty easy to make, even if you are not a pro do-it-yourselfer. You can either DIY it, utilizing leftover decorations from Halloween/Christmas, or purchase the components online (many options to shop below) or from a local craft store like Michael’s. All you need is some fake (and/or real) pumpkins that you can spray paint gold (or find them already painted.) You then use gold votive holders for the candles, gold glittered pinecones, and a gold Christmas garland as a filler in the middle.
When set on top of a pretty burlap runner, this Thanksgiving tablescape feels modern and fresh, or what I like to call, elevated rustic.
