In honor of Black History Month, the Office of African, African American, Latino, Holocaust and Gender Studies will partner with Rohi’s Readery in Rosemary Square for a Black History Month Kick-Off celebration on February 5, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required for workshops.

The event’s theme is “Stories of Black Excellence, Brilliance, and Joy: Fostering Pride Through Children’s Literature,” and will feature a Revolutionary Storytime for children led by West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James. Guests can also shop an artisan market with vendors from local Black-owned businesses and sit in on a “A Conversation about Black Joy and Brilliance” panel discussion.
