The Singapore Sogetsu Association celebrated its 51st anniversary with a gala dinner and floral demonstration at the Shangri-La Hotel. A charity exhibition was also held at Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Besides promoting the Japanese floral art of Sogetsu Ikebana, the association also gave back to the community through its tradition of fundraising. This year, it donated $210,000 to Care Singapore, which reaches out to at-risk youths and empowers and encourages them to find success in life.
