Logitech type+ air 2 review and some Thai tea

I have recently brought myself an iPad air 2, currently upgrading my Nexus 7 tablet. With iPad air 2 pencil thin size and 9.7-inch screen, I needed a protective case and keyboard to protect it.

Logitech sent me the Logitech type+ iPad air 2 to test out. I’ve been a loyal fan to brand for it’s innovative products using the latest technology. As an ex PC desktop user, I brought Logitech webcams and cordless desktop mouse and keyboard sets. I have had them for many years and it’s still going strong without any replacements.

Logitech type+ (£84.99) comes in an attractive sturdy keyboard liquid repellent folio folder case. Taking advantage of the iPad air 2 metal body, it connects the Bluetooth keyboard magnetically with sleep and wake functions when you close the case.

I have used a third party minisuit case for my Nexus 7 and the thing that bothered me the most was how it lagged in seconds when I typed. Logitech type + responds instantaneously. The led lighting indictor changes colour to green for power being on and blue to show the Bluetooth is connected. iPad air picks up the keyboard in the settings quickly and a few numbers to confirm connection and your done.

I’m a Macbook Pro user and typing on the Type+ is very comfortable, spacious concave keys and shortcuts that mimic the Macbook Pro exactly.

My kitchen is small with limited space, the super strong magnets stands up well, even when I lift it by one hand it stays firmly connected to the case. I have also installed a glass screen protector and can close the case fine; it is still thin and lightweight.

2-3 weeks of use and battery life hasn’t drained much, Logitech says it should last 3 months on a single charge. There is a minor chip on the plastic on my keyboard after some use, with Apple’s official smart case priced at £65 go invest the extra £ for Logitech type+ £84.99.

Pros

  • Sturdy magnetic case
  • Spacious keys for typing
  • Rechargeable long lasting battery life
  • Auto wake and sleep functions

Cons

  • Plastic chips easily

I’ve been obsessing over Tastemade youtube videos lately; their Thai iced tea made me craved the sugary caramel earth tone tea. If you’re like me and want to cut shortcuts I found a Thai supermarket called Art Muay at Earls Court that sells the Thai Tea mix and the tea sock. Instead of adding sugar I like to sweeten my Thai tea with condensed milk.
