Fashion Farm Foundation Takes Hong Kong Designers to Paris Fashion Week

For those who don't know, Fashion Farm Foundation (FFF) is a non-profit organization established back in 2012, founded by a group of fashion entrepreneurs and fashion educators in Hong Kong.  Their goal is to spotlight Hong Kong-based fashion designers, industry experts, and retailers, and encourage collaborations among the business, educational and cultural sectors. FFF also serves as a bridge between young designers and fashion experts to share experiences and exchange ideas through a wide range of interactive events such as runway shows, seminars, individual interviews, forums, and group discussions.

During the most recent Paris Fashion Week, FFF brought Hong Kong fashion talents to Paris where they unveiled their latest Autumn/Winter collection at the Libération studio which used to be the former studio of a French newspaper. In partnering with Create Hong Kong, FFF and the eight fashion designers and labels opened the show of the HKFG PARIS AW20 presentation and reception. On hand was Anaïs JourdenCynthia & XiaoFrom Other PlanetsFromClothingOf, W;nk, YAH!KA WA KEY and Yeung Chin. What was special about the event was that FFF gave the fashion designers the opportunity to showcase their collection in-person to notable fashion publications, buyers, influencers like Susie Bubble, Yoyo Cao, and others from around the world. Take a look at some of the collections below.

Gallery: Centrestage 2019

Since its establishment, Centrestage has been one of Hong Kong's biggest annual fashion events. Put on by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the highly anticipated event returned this year from 4–7 September, with a lineup of fashion and design powerhouses.

More than 240 fashion brands and international buyers flew in from across the globe to attend the four-day style extravaganza complete with runway shows, designer sharing sessions, open talks, trend analyses, and more.

This year’s Centrestage was a celebration of Asia’s top designers, including Hong Kong's very own Anais Mak of Anaïs Jourden and Joseph Altuzarra of Altuzarra, who presented their Pre-Spring 2020 collections for the first time ever in Asia. Hong Kong-based fashion label Anaïs Jourden has risen to fame with its rich texture and techniques, as well as its “neo-bourgeois” proposal. Altuzarra, on the other hand, showcased an earthy collection spans French sensuality and easy American sophistication.

The runway presentations drew a crowd of fashionistas and celebrities including Ashley Lam, Veronica Shiu, Sharon Chan, Dickson Yu and more. Check out the highlights from Centrestage 2019 in our gallery below.
